About the tour

This walk will lead you into the heart of the Renaissance in Florence: from the buildings and works of art visited, to the atmosphere and life in the Florence of 14th and 15th centuries. It is the best way to start your visit to the city, or to get to know the most important sites in the historic center so that you can spot those deserving a thorough visit in the near future. Ideal for getting your bearings and having fun!

Places visited during the walk:

1. Ponte Vecchio, Vasarian Corridor

2. Alleyways and hidden squares of medieval Florence

3. Piazza della Signoria, Loggia dei Lanzi

4. Mercato del Porcellino, Palazzo Vecchio

5. San Firenze square, Santa Croce square and church

6. Bargello Museum, Old Florentine Benedictine Abbey

7. Dante's House-Museum, Dante's church

8. Dome, Giotto's Bell tower, St. John's Baptistery

9. Medici-Riccardi Palace, San Lorenzo church and Medici's Chapel

10. Santa Maria Novella square and church

For logistical reasons, the tour must be booked at least 12 hours before the starting time.

Consider that once reached the maximum number of participants the tour will be closed, so you better book now. Thank you.

You can have a thorough, panoramic view of Florence, its churches, towers and bridges, by joining me in the tour:

Under specific request -day and time to define- you can get to know the not-so-tourist Florence in the walk:

What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!

Se hace un recorrido alternativo por callejones que es muy interesante, además la historia compartida es muy interesante. Aunque puede parecer el mismo recorrido que el tour que hay por la tarde, la información es diferente y el enfoque es otro.

Os lo recomiendo.

A great tour to take at the very beginning of your time in Florence. Our guide was amazing. Had local and world knowledge to share with us. Was able to show us where to go and what to look for and where not to waste precious time during your holiday. Atah really made it personal and treated us like we were friends visiting his home.
