Plaza de Mayo: Historic Heart of Buenos Aires
It's the site where the city was founded in 1580 and is a key point in Argentine history, recognized by the May Revolution of 1810. Here, we'll have the opportunity to learn about:
Casa Rosada: The seat of the National Executive Branch. We'll admire its majestic facade and learn about its history and importance in Argentine politics.
Metropolitan Cathedral: The main Catholic church in Buenos Aires. We'll visit the interior to admire its neoclassical architecture and rich history.
Cabildo: The city's former town hall, the scene of important historical events, especially during the May Revolution.
Puerto Madero: The Modernity of Buenos Aires
After soaking up the history, we'll head to Puerto Madero, the city's most modern and renovated neighborhood.
We'll explore the history of the three ports that shaped the development of this area and their importance to trade and the economy.
Sarmiento Frigate: We will visit this floating museum, a training ship of the Argentine Navy that will transport us back to the era of the great sailing ships.
Puente de la Mujer: This icon of modern architecture, designed by Santiago Calatrava, symbolizes growth and innovation in Buenos Aires.
