The tour begins at the entrance of Berat Castle, one of the most fascinating and continuously inhabited fortresses in Albania. As we step inside, we’ll explore the impressive Illyrian walls, some of the oldest in the region, and stroll through narrow cobblestone streets filled with history and charm. You’ll admire beautiful Byzantine churches decorated with stunning frescoes and visit the Acropolis, the highest point of the castle, where the ruins of early Ottoman mosques still tell their story. From the panoramic viewpoint, you’ll enjoy breathtaking views over Berat, famously known as the “City of a Thousand Windows.” Along the way, we’ll meet locals who still live within the castle walls, preserving traditions passed down for generations. With insightful stories, cultural discoveries, and unforgettable scenery, this tour offers a perfect blend of history, beauty, and authentic Albanian life.
