As a London native, my travels across the globe have ignited a passion for sharing the hidden gems and untold stories of the city. After several years of teaching English, I decided to combine my twin passions of history and travel and become a tour guide, so that I can show visitors the undiscovered and lesser-known parts of my amazing city. A history enthusiast at heart, I also love watching and playing sports, as well as escaping the city for a hike and immersing myself in nature.

Tour description

Learn about England's long and fascinating history on a walk through the City of London, a living microcosm of the nation's past. On the tour you will learn about every period, group and individual who laid the foundations of the modern nation.

Starting with the Celtic tribes on a hill on the north bank of the River Thames, you will journey through time, exploring the Roman Amphitheatre and the ancient city walls. You will learn about how the various Anglo-Saxon kingdoms struggled to forge a united nation before delving into the Norman Conquest and how England's long and complex history with France began. You'll then discover the stories of the Wars of the Roses, England's most famous family, the Tudors, and the start of the age of discovery. The tour will conclude with the story of how a new nation, Great Britain, was formed.
