Tsukiji Market Free Walking Tour (English or Portuguese)
Tour description
Discover Tsukiji Market on a free walking tour, designed especially for travelers who want to experience authentic Japanese culture while visiting one of Tokyo’s most famous markets.
The tour begins at Hōgan-ji Temple, where we start with a brief introduction to the history of the temple and the neighborhood. Then we continue to Tsukiji Market, exploring its streets, traditional stalls, and must-see spots while I share curiosities, stories, and insights about daily life in the market.
During the tour, we visit popular stalls, make food stops to try local specialties, and, when needed, I help participants with ordering and shopping if they don’t speak Japanese. I also share useful tips about what to eat, local etiquette, and how to avoid some tourist traps, so you can experience Tsukiji like a true local.
The tour is easy-paced, interactive, and perfect for travelers who want to learn, try new foods, and enjoy Tsukiji in a fun and engaging way.
