Fantastic tour of downtown San Diego by Kate. She was great fun to be with and for someone fairly new to the touring game she was very knowledgeable. I definitely recommend 👍

Charlie will tell you absolutely everything about Dan Diego, and it's nothing you could learn in the books. Whish I could remember all what he explains !

This tour was interesting and entertaining, with stories from the guide who has lived in San Diego for over 40 years and is a bit of a historian. I highly recommend it.

Our guide was really nice and welcoming person. She loves her city and showed us the best parts of it. Highly recommend her.

Tana was my guide, others booked onto the tour didn’t show up so it was just me! Lucky me! Tana is born and bred in San Diego so has lots of local knowledge and is a lovely person. I learned a lot. The organisation wasn’t as slick as I’d expected, with the email the evening before from Isabella saying she wouldn’t be the guide but giving 2 other names. Neither of those was Tana - and Tana said neither of the 2 names given would work on a Sunday. Very strange!

Paula was knowledgeable about the area, interactive with all in the group and kept an easy, relaxed pace.

We had such a fantastic time on Isabella’s GuruWalk tour of the San Diego Gaslamp Quarter and downtown sightseeings! She guided us through the district’s highlights with incredible energy, charm, and passion for her city. Every step of the way, she kept us hooked with fun facts and unique details that brought the history and culture of the area to life. From the quirky origin of the term “sugar daddy” to the hidden party basements under pubs (once used for disco clubbing and even underground food truck pop-ups), Isabella made sure the tour was full of surprises. I loved learning about the Emerald Building and its jewel connection, the Horton Hotel’s Austrian-inspired design, and the San Diego Convention Center’s architecture inspired by a wave breaking over a cruise ship. Her storytelling was so engaging that the Gaslamp Quarter felt like a living, breathing character itself. Isabella’s enthusiasm is contagious, and she truly makes you fall in love with San Diego all over again. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the city (or even locals wanting to see it with new eyes). I can’t wait to read her book when it’s published, if it’s anything like her tours, it’ll be the “finest” book from the “finest” city itself!
