The B side of Florence: high fashion, history and bohemian life
Tour description
Starting from one of the most famous landmarks in town, this walk will lead us to the heart of the high fashion district in Florence, where elegance is the common feature in the showcases occupying the ground floor of historic buildings: world-famous brands and boutiques share spaces full of centennial history along the Florentine "5th Avenue". It will eventually take us to the Oltrarno district, the neighborhood that, thanks to its authenticity --hardly preserved in a tourism-flooded city-- has traditionally attracted young people and artists.
You will get to know the genuine Florence, where little boteghe -workshops-, osterie -typical, kind-of family-managed restaurants- sprout here and there among squares that are anything but Florentine in style (at least what mass tourism believe Florence is like...).
