About the tour

The best way to experience Florence’s historical centre is by exploring its beautiful and winding streets and alleys on foot, the way the renaissance era architects intended it to be.

With so much to see, it may be difficult to decide where to begin and which direction to go next, but thanks go this tour you can be sure you won’t miss out on the essential landmarks that Florence offers.

Whether you’re new to Florence or consider it a home away from home, the tour is a pleasant and enjoyable way to get to know the city. Visiting Florence’s most famous landmarks is a must, but sightseeing with a tour allows you to discover some of the cities hidden gems. From traditional artisan workshops to the best gelato spots in town, its worth off the pages of your trusted guidebook.

We will visit many of the unmissable and unforgettable sites that Florence has to offer, a journey that will take days of research and struggling with maps if you choose to go it alone.

Itinerary

-Piazza del Duomo: The religious heart of Florence boasts some of the cities oldest and most iconic architectural sites. The Baptistery, the Cathedral Santa Maria del Fiore and Giotto’s Bell-Tower provide a stunning postcard worthy scene to be experienced from all angles.

-Orsanmichele: This converted church offers a fascinating history to accompany its stunning architecture.

-Ponte Vecchio: Florence’s oldest and most beautiful bridge. The best place to take in the view of the river Arno, or to admire and shop for the jewellery it’s famous for. The nearby market is the home of the famous wild boar fountain. Pet its shining bronze nose for good luck.

-Piazza della Signoria: The meeting place for tourists and locals alike, wander through the unique open air museum and take in the view of the magnificent Uffizi building and exquisite statues.

-...and more, and more...

What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!

Manuel was great! Truly impressed with how he delivered all the information and still kept a good pace, which I still remember (by the way). He even remembered to greet my Mom Happy Birthday at the start of the tour. During the tour, he gave us fun facts when we pass by small relevant details. Cool humor. Two thumbs up for me! I hope he will continue to share his knowledge and passion for Florence for the next years. Very well done and thank you, Manuel.

Manuel gave a lovely, informative talk. Would definitely recommend if you are looking for a brief, but comprehensive overview of Florence's top attractions and their history.
