We had a great experience with Nurbubu as our guide. She was very knowledgeable and took us to all the significant areas of central Bishkek. She was very keen to share her culture and even bought us some chocolate and sweets to try. Would highly recommend!

Great introduction to Bishkek

I had a special tour, as I was the only person who had reserved! As a result, I essentially had a private tour which felt like a custom tour for me. I was able to interact fully with Adina, the guide!

A free walking tour is always my favourite way to start exploring a new city, and this one was excellent. Begaiym was a fantastic guide – friendly, knowledgeable, and with perfect English. She took us through the main sights of Bishkek and shared the history, culture, and local customs in a very engaging way. Bishkek exceeded my expectations and was a great introduction to Kyrgyzstan. The tour helped us understand the city and the country much better before continuing our journey. Highly recommended, especially on your first day in Bishkek.

Solid walking tour for when you visit Bishkek, and one of the very few on offer. It does a good job of covering the city’s main sights. For more in-depth historical or cultural information, it’s probably worth reading up a bit yourself on the individual locations.

Highly recommended walking tour in Bishkek! Begaiym led the tour with great passion and care, and it was very informative throughout. I especially enjoyed learning about the different historical and cultural influences that shaped Bishkek and Kyrgyzstan. She encouraged questions during the tour and always took the time to answer them thoughtfully. The walk covered the most important parts of Bishkek and was a perfect introduction to the city.

This was a different type of tour in that it focused on the history and culture of Kyrgyzstan rather than a series of buildings and monuments. Meder was extremely knowledgeable and explained the nomad psyche clearly and concisely. He responded fully and candidly to all our questions and allowed the focus of the tour to follow our lines of interest rather than a strict, pre-prepared script. This is ideal, as it effectively empowered the group to determine where the focus of the tour would be. Highly recommended.

Medert is a great guy from the area. He told us a lot about nomads, the Soviet era, and life in Kyrgyzstan today.

We had a great time on the walking tour with Meder. He was friendly, professional and knowledgeable about Bishkek, Kyrgyzstan and Central Asia as a whole. We were also able to organise for him to drive and guide us to Al-Archa National Park and a few other locations later on in our trip which was also a great experience. I highly recommend this walking tour and getting in touch with Meder for other activities!
