Thomas - Guida turistica a Hiroshima

Thomas si è trasferito a Hiroshima otto anni fa, dopo essersi innamorato della città e della donna che sarebbe diventata sua moglie. Si sono incontrati per la prima volta in un 7-Eleven, dove lei ha vinto una pagnotta a una piccola lotteria. Non ne aveva bisogno, così gliela ha data, e da quel semplice momento è iniziata la loro storia. In seguito si sono sposati in una panetteria sulla via principale di Hiroshima, un luogo che ancora frequentano insieme perché occupa un posto speciale nei loro cuori. Nel tempo libero, Thomas si dedica allo studio per ottenere diverse qualifiche. Ha superato l'esame nazionale di cucina giapponese e ora si sta preparando per la certificazione di sakè giapponese, mentre lavora per diventare una guida autorizzata a livello nazionale. Come ambasciatore del turismo di Hiroshima, è onorato di condividere la complessa storia della città e il fascino del luogo che è orgoglioso di chiamare casa.

I had a great time on the tour with Thomas. Walking around the city with him was easy and really enjoyable. He went beyond my expectations and has a great personality. If you want to experience Hiroshima from a local perspective, I definitely recommend him. He also took us to a delicious and affordable place to eat. He was always very kind and answered all our questions with lots of helpful information. I’m sure he can also recommend great places to visit and eat even outside Hiroshima.

This was such a unique way to sample the speciality of Hiroshima. Having tasted the version from Osaka, I now prefer the Hiroshima version more. Thomas was very knowledgeable and shared other significant historical events as well, shifting our conversation from food, culture to history. It was a perfect introduction to Hiroshima. Don’t miss out on this food tour!
