Xi'An Food Tour

We joined this food tour and it was an absolutely fantastic experience! Our guide was incredibly kind, welcoming, and always ready to answer any questions. She took us to authentic, local places off the usual tourist paths, allowing us to discover the most genuine side of the local cuisine. Each stop on the tour was perfectly chosen — from small historic shops to traditional eateries where the atmosphere felt truly local. The guide not only introduced us to delicious dishes but also shared the stories and traditions behind each recipe, making the whole experience even more engaging and meaningful. You could really feel her passion for her work and her love for the region’s food culture. Everything was well-organized, relaxed, and full of flavor. Food was delicious! All of them were places and treats that we would hardly know or tried if it weren’t for the tour. Everything felt authentic and Yunyun was an amazing host. Knowledgeable, fun and with great taste.

A great food tour in an area of Xi'An that you probably wouldn't think to explore on your own.

We were very lucky to be the only people on Wenqi’s food walking tour of Xian’s Muslim quarter so we felt very much like special guests. We tried food from about 6-7 restaurants and food stalls - the beef skewers being my favourite. Wenqi is delightful and engaging. We highly recommend joining her on her food tour.

Great food tour in Xi’an! We tasted delicious local dishes in the Muslim Quarter. Our guide Yunyun was fun and knowledgeable, taking us to hidden gems and street food spots. A perfect mix of culture, history, and amazing flavours… a must-do for any foodie!

Yunyun did a great job on this tour and it was very enjoyable. Exceeded our expectations. She lined up some great places to stop at and try the various local foods. She also told us more about the local temples, religions, and culture.

Wenqi showed us a lot of delicious local food. We went to restaurants, which I would have never found alone. The tour was very entertaining and informativ. I would recommend it to anyone that wants to know more about the food of Xi'An.

I had the best food tour with Wenqi around Xi'an! I had never tried to do a food tour and this one was the best I could ask for! The guide was very open to answer all of my questions and give info about what we were eating! It has been both a great culinary and cultural experience, I would 100% recommend it! Great experience with a local eating local food

Yun yun has a great tour. Please come really hungry for the tour so you have space for everything. A lot of cute and delicious places to taste and eat Xi'an best food has soon for a local. Also the guide is very experienced in dealing with tourists. One of the best memories we take with us from Xi'an. One think I would like the tour to have more is a little bit more of background history of the city and dishes we taste.

Wenqi’s passion for food shone through; we ate great food and learnt a lot over a fun evening. Highly recommend!

I've eaten the best of what Xi'an has to offer in some of the oldest and most well-known restaurants in town, and got interesting information on how and when these dishes are eaten by locals. We did the historical walking tour one day before and directly booked the food tour afterwards for the next evening. Yunyun is a very charismatic and fun person and her English truly is fantastic! We totally loved everything about the tour. She was very well prepared with a lot of information and showed us many hidden places with local specialities. We really loved all the food and drinks! We also talked a lot about differences and similarities between our cultures, as she has been to Europe many times. We would totally recommend Yunyun!
