Really enjoyed our tour, Marlon is local and showed us around the town covering its pivitol roll in Niciraguas history as well as it's culinary heritage. We're much better informed about León which helps us understand the culture and sites here better, a tour not to be missed.

We had a great time with Joel ! We got interesting insights about the history of Leon and Nicaragua. The tour wasn’t too short neither too long. We‘d definitely recommend it !

Our great guide Joel was well informed about the history of Leon and Nicaragua. Very well speaking English! Tip: if you prefer more food in the tour it’s better to choose the morning tour, because in the afternoon the market is already packing in.

Joel was really knowledgeable about all the murals and the history behind them. He had a polite manner and good recommendations for the rest of our trip.

Joel was fantastic! Such a great tour he explains the history of Nicaragua thoroughly throughout its many periods and really knows his stuff. A great way to see Leon through the eyes of an enthusiastic local and learn about the history of the streets we had walked around! The loveliest friendliest young man could not recommend any more 🫡😊

Joel was the perfect tour guide. Very clear, factual and knowledgeable. He was very approachable and answered everyone’s questions with enthusiasm. He was a lovely guide and everyone really enjoyed the tour. 10/10

Thank you Joel for this lovely afternoon! We had a great group of nine young backpackers. Joel told us great information about Nicaraguan history, answered all our questions and showed us around the city. We couldn’t go in the museum, as it is closed on Mondays, but I didn’t mind. We went to the food market to try a few different things and watched the sunset together. On top we got local recommendations! Thank you Joel, I can highly recommend ☺️

The best Free Walking Tour you can get! Joel totally surprised me with all the information about the pre-colonial, colonial and the revolution period of nicaraguans history. He planned the route accordingly to the different episodes and uses the different murals / wall paintings to demonstrate it and literally knows all the dates! Because no one else signed up to the tour but me, he asked me beforehand if i would mind doing the tour alone or if I wanted to join one later. So I sort of got a private tour which was also really fun and Joel made the best out of it. Also he gave me some really good recommendations about what to do and where to eat… recommend 100%. Joel was a great guide through the city! Taking you on a journey of the cities history through murals around the city centre with a stop at the market to buy some local sweets. Definitely would recommend for a relaxing afternoon!

Joel was great for our visit! His English was very good, he was knowledgeable about Leon's history and we really enjoyed learning about the meaning behind the different art pieces. It was in our opinion the best way to visit the city! Thank you again!

We had a really nice moment with Joel! We talk about history and legends while walking through the streets of León. We have been in charming places, fresh and quiet. Joel was kind and gives us good advices to enjoy this beautiful city. We highly recommand!

Even though it was Semana Santa, we visited almost every place possible. Joel was very nice and recommended some great spots. I just wish we had gotten a bit more detail on the historical background.

We had a very nice tour with Joel, who shared a lot of interesting information and speaks very good English. We would definitely recommend this tour as you are taken through the history of Nicaragua and Leon by means of murals. Additionally, the visit to the market was very fun and tasty.

Joel did the tour just for me since I was the only one who reserved, and he was really kind and accommodating. His explanations were clear and interesting and the places we visited gave you a good impression of the town and its history. Overall, I can only highly recommend this tour!
