I am American and my husband is Italian. We both understood Jakub perfectly. His English pronunciation is excellent and he has a vast vocabulary. We knew nothing about Poznan before arriving, but after the tour, we can recognize the importance of the city in Polish history. The tour is centered around the old city but also goes toward the business district. He has a good sense of humor and keeps the tour enthusiastic. I definitely recommend him to all Poznan visitors. Thanks!

I was very pleasantly surprised by the tour. Jakub took his time, even though we were only 2 people. He adapted the tour to our individual interests and was also very flexible and open with us.

Kuba knew his way around the city. The city was well introduced to us and even answered all our questions promptly. He was more than kind to take us to the authentic St. Martin's Croissant bakery and I appreciate his thought of "vocal for local." I truly recommend him.

Best places to visit in Poznan

Poland has a large number of interesting places, perfect for a tourist break or a few days' holiday. The beautiful city of Poznan in the region of Wielkopolska is a clear example; a town of great beauty next to the Varta River that due to its location in the west of the country - between Warsaw and Berlin - has always been one of the most famous university centres in this part of Europe.

Today this town has a great attraction for visitors who are looking to discover a tourist destination of great interest, with a varied and rich heritage, a great atmosphere and an interesting cultural and gastronomic offer, with dishes as recommended as "Pyry z gzi kiem" or potatoes with cottage cheese, the "Plyndze" which is a type of traditional cake, or the famous "Szagówki" gnocchi, which combines flour and potatoes. If you don't know everything that this great city has to offer, the best way to take advantage of your visit is to sign up for the free walking tour in Poznan, a tour of the essential places to see, the most characteristic monuments and buildings, as well as the most interesting corners of the city. Some of the most recommended stops are the mandatory Market Square, a place of great prestige for the aristocracy of the city, the next Royal Castle and the nearby City Hall, which is now a national museum.

Other points of great interest are the Cathedral Basilica of St. Peter and St. Paul, the Imperial Castle - the residence of William II - or some of its recommended churches such as St. Stanislaus or the Virgin Mary. Other important points if you have more time are the Adam Mickiewicz University and the Monument to the June, in honor to the workers' protests against the Russian communism.

Thanks to the free tour in Poznan it is possible to enter the most emblematic places of this city; a good alternative for the most demanding tourists who look for an option different from the traditional organized visits.
