A brilliant tour and well worth doing if you’re in Taipei! Fu was very friendly and gave us so much great history about the city (and country) while still being entertaining and making it accessible for people with different levels of understanding. We enjoyed every moment of this tour and alongside leaving with a great understanding of some of the key historical and cultural points of Taipei/Taiwan, we were able to get some great recommendations of where to go next. Fu made sure we were all happy throughout the tour and ensured that we were cool enough (in the hot weather!) by making stops to refill water, stay in the shade and get some ice cream. Fu was a really excellent guide - we very highly recommend this tour!

Wallis does a really informative and entertaining Vintage tour. Highly recommend. I especially enjoyed learning about Daoist gods and the hsitorical significance of the Daodacheng area.

TaiLe was a fantastic guide, able to distill hundreds of years of Taiwan’s eventful history into brief yet well chosen sentences pertinent to the sites we visited. TaiLe asked for brief intros of participants, asked pertinent questions to keep us engaged, and invited questions from us. The ‘old town’ theme also worked quite well. I lived in Taipei long ago and was hoping for a refresher of sorts (I booked this tour to help introduce Taipei to a friend visiting from abroad), and the content of the tour well surpassed my expectations - and brought back many memories. Highly recommended.

Lina was a very friendly and informative guide. We enjoyed the free foot massage and her personal anecdote about her father’s suggestion whilst in school. The tour was at a good pace and it didn’t rain which is always a bonus!

A fun tour with lots of historic facts i did not know before. Leo is a good story teller and gave us extra advice on nice places to go after the tour. I really appreciated that.

Ended up being the only one that attended the tour, but Harold did a great job answering all my curious questions and made it very entertaining. Definitely recommended if you want to learn more about the history of Taiwan beyond a typical city tour scope.

My husband and I were blown away by how much we learned from both Reina and Erik on this walking tour. Not only were they incredibly knowledgeable about the history of Taiwan, but they were also kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful throughout the experience. I left feeling inspired and deeply interested in Taiwan’s history, culture, and current events, and a huge part of that was thanks to Reina and Erik. Their passion for their country and their ability to share its story in such an engaging way made the tour truly memorable. I've been on many free walking tours and this was by far the best one I've experienced. I highly recommend taking this tour with Reina and Erik!
