Very enthusiastic, knowledgeable, easy to talk to and funny. Great spots to visit during the tour and tasty optional food stop at the end. Pick Javlon!

Tashkent Uncovered: History, Culture, Iconic Metro & Food Bites

We were a small group of 5 people, which was really nice. Madina speaks English perfectly. I would have preferred to spend less time on the market, as we were going through a lot of the shops.

Unique walking tour in Tashkent city

An excellent walking tour and a great way to discover Tashkent! We visited several interesting places, but the highlight was definitely exploring the bazaar, where Donat took us deep into the market to experience the local atmosphere, taste traditional foods, and interact with locals. It made the experience feel truly authentic. The tour was full of fascinating stories, useful recommendations, and memorable moments. Highly recommended!

Donat is an excellent guide: knowledgeable, entertaining, with a multidisciplinary background, and capable of engaging people from completely different cultures. He shared history and anecdotes with us, showed us daily life, and connected us with many local people.

I have not tried other options ,saying Donat is the best !(stupid question) . He has a good knowledge of the job. if you be interested in matters about Uzbekistan, central Asia & the late USSR, he could be very helpful to gain more understandings.

This is one of the most unique and memorable walking tours we have been to. Donat feels like a very knowledgeable friend. And I can see how he’s putting a lot of thoughts on designing new interesting walking tours. Tashkent is often just treated as a one-day stop in a trip to Uzbekistan. But Donat has shown Tashkent has more to offer in terms of interesting places to visit, history, and stories that many tourists might miss. We decided to add one more day to Tashkent after this tour (and has registered his other tour too). Highly recommend!

Madina’s walking tour was the perfect introduction to Uzbekistan! She shared so much about Uzbek culture and showed me the metro stations, which were a highlight. She’s very knowledgeable, and you can tell she truly cares about teaching and sharing as much as she can. I learned so much and would highly recommend her tour!

This tour was highlight of my stay in Tashkent. I really like the way it was organized. Finally something extra and not just the touristy places. I really appreciate every minute what I could spend together with Javlon. Thanks a lot! Highly recommended!

This was an excellent introduction to Tashkent, and Donat was a fantastic guide. We covered so much more ground than I expected, and the bread making in the bazar was a real highlight. Highly recommend!

What a fantastic, multisensory learning experience. I learnt so much about Tashkent and Uzbekestan, laughed a lot, even baked bread and generally had a great time. Donat is incredibly friendly and knows everyone in his area. In the market, we sampled so many different foods and baked bread. We even visited a local house. Cannot recommend highly enough!

Thanks for the tour—it was truly exceptional. So much happened, and we got to experience many different facets of the city. We gained some private insights, were able to sample various items at the market, and saw some fascinating things. Donat is really funny!

If only I could give him ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️. I haven’t laugh like that in any other tour. Not only did he master his subject, but he didn't hesitate to cover it in depth. I give him extra points for his storytelling style, the intensity he puts into delivering it, but above all his ability to surf the unexpected, that lend us to take a look at a room in the Hotel Uzbekistan. Thanks for this memorable tour Don. You rock.

This was the perfect tour to get a breath of fresh air while learning more about the locals’ daily life. Javlon was one of the most charming guide I’ve seen. I really felt taking care of and he treated us as his own special guest. If you’re looking for a little walk outside the city, this is the perfect tour for you!

This was without a doubt one of the best walking tours we’ve been on. Donat is professional and entertaining, has so much knowledge and is clearly very passionate about Tashkent and guiding. The tour started off with some history, and then we went to some of the amazing Tashkent metro stations, Chorsu Bazaar, and the surrounding area. It was a great mix of cultural immersion and history, and a fantastic introduction to the city, which helped us to get our bearings. I would absolutely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Tashkent!

We loved our walking tour with Donat. It was a great mix of history and culture. We got to see some of the key historical sites but we also had some food tasting around Chorsu Bazaar and saw inside some traditional homes in the old town. Donat had amazing English, was super friendly, and great at answering all our questions. A great tour and perfect length! Perfect for starting your stay in Tashkent.

Did two tours with Donat, I don't think you'll find a better guide in Central Asia. Donat puts a lot of effort in and as a result this is the most unique walking tour I've done. Entertaining, extremely knowledgeable and engaging.
