Donat is a legend! So so knowledgeable and such a nice guy! Very helpful and funny! If you are in Tashkent do this tour!

Donat provides a different tour compared with the ones you’ll do in Uzbekistan. There is still a bit of history, but it’s a lot oriented on the current life and on a full immersion in the Uzbek life. You taste local food, prepare bread, smell tea and spices, etc. It’s an experience of all senses that my girlfriend and I enjoyed and would definitely recommend to anyone spending some hours in Tashkent. Don was an amazing guide! He shared stories of Tashkent and Uzbekistan vividly and in a very engaging way. Leading us through Chorsu Bazaar, he seemed like a local celebrity knowing all the different vendors and making us feel super welcomed. I did a walking tour with Donat a few weeks ago. I ended up being the only one who turned up for the morning, and he was very kind to still run the tour just for me. He gave me really great insights into the country and city's history, and he also noticed my camera and found me some great photo spots along the way. I loved that he showed me the tourist highlights as well as the genuine local spots (and there is a stark difference... it's fascinating). I really highly recommend!

This is one of the best walking tours I have ever had—Bakhtiyor is knowledgeable and friendly. He explained the culture and history of Uzbekistan exceptionally well to us. He was a window for me to understand the local culture; whatever I asked, he could answer. He also helped me figure out which train station I should go to for my train to Samarkand (which can be very confusing, since the English names do not match the station names printed on the tickets). Highly recommend this tour!

Donat was a fantastic tour guide. He provided so much interesting information that went well beyond what I could just read online. I felt much more aware of the culture of the city after his tour. I also loved the bread baking experience. Would highly recommend!

Donat is highly entertaining as a guide - he communicates historical facts very clearly and hits the right note between too much and too little information. He also is able to link to geopolitical events in other countries to give historical context. His English is exemplary. The tour has good variety with stops on the metro and plenty of food stops at the market. Thoroughly enjoyed and happy to recommend!

The best free walking tour we have been on and we have done a lot. Informative, Interactive, Donat had incredible knowledge the time flew by. Especially loved the bread making and visiting the old town houses.
