Hey travelers! I'm proudly one of you :). My name is Juan from Bogotá, Colombia. A 29 years old man passionate about traveling and get in contact with new cultures. I've been in more than 70 countries and now im really excited to show the best of my city. I studied political science and urbanism, I've been working as a guide for more than a year and I have big expectation about the potential of my country!
We will walk through the Candelaria district, the oldest and most important neighborhood in Bogotá. We will talk about history, geography, current social and political situation in Colombia. We get involved with our culture by drinking chicha! The most traditional fermented drink in the city, part of our indigenous heritage. We will also try a local snack made with corn and, at the end of the tour, we will play the gunpowder game, better known as Tejo, a fun drinking game played in pre-Hispanic times. This tour gives you a complete idea about the context of the capital of Colombia. You will never get bored because we talk about different topics, interact with locals, visit the most important places in the city and get the maximum artistic and historical value from all the streets we walk along.
