Local guide of Bilbao and the whole Basque Country, eager to share all my knowledge about my city, its history and all the fascinating features of the mysterious Basque people, culture, and language. I am vastly passionate, a lover of good vibrations, genuine and authentic moments, things and people. Fulfilling the expectations of visitors coming to my country is what makes me the happiest. Let me show you my city and my country from a completely different and personalized perspective. IMPORTANT NOTE!!! Due to the low number of tourists requesting tours these days in here and to avoid misunderstandings I warn you that I will only do the tour after my confirmation via message in here or whatsapp. So, please if I don't reply or if I don't contact you that means that I WILL NOT be at the meeting point at the requested time. About the schedules, I need to set regular ones because of the website but I am super flexible with them and in the 99% of the cases we can agree and arrange the best that suits both parts. Thank you for your understanding :)

Tour description

In this 2 hour-tour you will be able to visit the city from its origin from its foundation in 1300 up to the 19. century knowing about the different historical events and main special and symbolic corners and buildings of the city. Starting from the oldest point of the Old Town we will begin our itinerary in a strictly chronological way and order crossing the San Anton church nd one of the 3 main original churches of the Old Town, explaining the place where the ancient square was, and the matrix of the medieval Bilbao. I will show you some of the most iconic buildings of this area as the market or some of most ancient ones that are still standing. We will stroll through the 7 medieval streets with their characteristic traditional shops and bars up to the little square of the Santiago Cathedral. Afterwards, we will leave behind the former walled part of the city to discover the other corners and squares of the rest of the Old Town, visiting the Unamuno and New squares, and after this the main park where I will explain you some of the most important buildings around that ancient beach by the tidal river. Ikustaldia euskaraz ere egiteko aukera dago.

Great tour! Danny was in details explaining history and modern Bilbao. We got to know so many interesting informations. The only thing we didn't like was his speedy, a little bit nervous presentation. Next time he should slow done because sometimes we hardly could understand him.

We met by the river, the meet up point was accurate and easy to find. Danny was on time and we were the only 2 person on that day( which was great, felt like a private tour) Danny is very knowledgeable and friendly, he knows all the locals scenes. It was unfortunate that we have to leave Bilbao the same day if not we could have gone to all the places that he recommended.

It was an exceptional history and cultural lesson given by so far the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide we have experienced. Danny is very proud of his heritage, city culture and architecture and sharing all this valuable information in short 2 hours. We feel in love with Bilbao thanks to Danny who gave us tons of tips where else to go, see, eat, and enjoy. Thank you, Danny
