ONLY FOR SMALL GROUPS, this walk (the same as the Initiation tour at 10.45 but made backwards) will lead you to the heart of the Renaissance in Florence: from the buildings and works of art visited to its atmosphere and life in 14th and 15th centuries. It is the best way to start your visit to the city, or to get to know the most important sites in the historic center so that you can spot those deserving a thorough visit in the near future. Ideal for getting your bearings and having fun!
Places visited during the walk:
1. Santa Maria Novella square and church.
2. Medici's Chapel, San Lorenzo church and Medici-Riccardi Palace.
3. St. John's Baptistery.
4. Duomo (Cathedral), Giotto's Bell tower.
5. Old Florentine Benedictine Abbey, Bargello Museum.
6. San Firenze square, Santa Croce square and church.
7. Palazzo Vecchio, Piazza della Signoria.
8. Loggia dei Lanzi, Mercato del Porcellino.
9. Alleyways and hidden squares of medieval Florence.
10. Ponte Vecchio, Vasarian Corridor, Pitti Palace.
For logistical reasons, the tour must be booked at least 12 hours before the starting time. Once reached the maximum number of participants the tour will be closed., so YOU BETTER BOOK NOW!. Thank you.

Very nice tour including the “best of Florence” and all the must sees. English was good too. One of the better tours we have done.
Increíble lo bien que pasamos, Atahualpa tiene mucho para contar y lo hace de forma espectacular. Tiene mucho conocimiento y es una gran persona. Gracias por hacernos ver mejor a Florencia y lo que pudimos aprender
We have done a lot of walking tours in other European cities and Atahualp’s tour of Florence was the best tour we have ever done. Atahualpa was really knowledgeable about Florence and the way he delivers his tour is excellent. Atahualpa was really helpful and recommended a lot of lovely restaurants and other attractions for us to visit. I can’t recommend this tour enough!
Nuestra experiencia con Atahualpa fue excelente, nos llevó a todos los sitios interesantes de Florencia, contándonos historias y curiosidades de la ciudad y su historia (como de la familia Medici) que nos quedamos enganchadas con ganas de más. Totalmente recomendable! ;)
