Hello, my name is Evanna, I am Athenian born and raised. I consider myself an extroverted person with a great passion for traveling, exploring new places, discovering different cultures and meeting new people. I have earned a Bachelor Degree in Media, Culture, and Communication at Panteion University of Social and Political sciences. Since I was young I had an affinity for my country's rich past. History and Mythology were regularly a pastime affair for me. As a result, I have attended classes in Archaeology and Classical History. I also own The Vellum International Diploma in Travel and Tourism. I have professional experience as a Tour Guide in Semi-Private Groups and have worked in Sales in the past.

About the tour

Immerse yourself in Athens 3.000-year rich history and stroll through the capital with an expert guide. Grab the opportunity to see the city through the eyes of a local and a passionate traveler at that. Avoid the large tour groups with this semi-private tour so the experience will be personalized.

Together we will walk around the city for 2 hours, during which you will discover different spots, have opportunities for great photographs, learn about Athenian history, visit famous landmarks and you will also receive important advice that will save you time, money and will jump-start your journey.

Our tour starts at a modern part of the center, the National Library, which is easily accessible via Panepistimio metro station. We will see the Parliament and visit the National Garden, a green oasis in the heart of Athens. We will also encounter the Temple of Zeus, the Roman Agora, walk the pedestrianized streets around Acropolis, visit a majestic viewpoint and get lost in the traditional neighborhood of Plaka. Then we will feel the lively vibes of Monastiraki, where many cafes, restaurants, and shops are located. Our tour will conclude at Thissio, where we will see the Keramikos Cemetery of Ancient Athens. During our journey, you will learn the city’s history and hopefully get a grasp of the city of the little quirks our beautiful capital has.

What's the price?

A guruwalk is a pay-what-you want walking tour, which means, it's completely free to book and join the group, but the 'guru' expects to be rewarded once the tour ends. Some people give 5, some people give 50, you choose the price.

Reservations in advance are mandatory because if the 'guru' doesn't see any bookings one day, she will not show up at the meeting point. Or if she has too many 'walkers' that day, won't allow you to join without the reservation. Booking is completely free, fast and easy. Book your guruwalk now!

It was my first time visiting Athens and I really enjoyed my tour with Evanna. She showed interesting spots of the new and the old part of the city. The tour was informative and she explained the history and also about the Greek methology in enthusiastic manner.

Also to arrange the tour Evan a was quick to reply to my inquiries and also very accommodating and flexible.

I'd definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting the beautiful city of Athens
