About the tour

Historic spots combine with the oldest road market of the city, traditional food, cheap price, and local vibes. Markets, churches, bars, sea, shouts, honks: the mixture of sensations in this city is unique. Here we tell you the best things to do in Palermo!

Located at a meeting point between Europe, Africa, and Asia, Palermo has obtained its particular character from each of these continents.

A place where you can see Renaissance sculptures, Arab domes, Norman castles and Byzantine mosaics in a matter of a couple of blocks. Thus, a list of things to do in Palermo is not easy to summarize.

Palermo is, above all, a city of colors and smells. Green palm trees against the turquoise sky, bright vegetables on the shelves of the markets.

The aroma of fried foods and bakeries that flood the small dark streets and battered balconies.

1. La Cattedrale

2. Palazzo dei Normanni

3. Ballaró

4. Vucciria

5. Chiesa di San Cataldo

I must say that Alessandra is a very nice and simple person, plus a very informative guide!

Caring as she is, she asked about my interest and we did a customized trip of Food and Culture which I'm very glad that I have joined! At the end of the tour, we became friends and I would recommend her definitely!

Alessandra was marvelous! My husband and I have done walking tours in many countries. However, Alessandras knowledge & personality made our experience most rewarding. Her being a native of Palermo not only brought a unique insight to life here presently, but also to so many historical eras of so many cultures and their influence during those periods. Any visitor to Sicily would benefit greatly by taking a tour with Alessandra!
