Hola and welcome to Madrid! My name is Beatriz and I was born and raised in this beautiful city where I work as a licensed local guide as well as in Toledo, Avila and Segovia.
After finishing my University studies in Tourism , I decided to travel and lived overseas for a while. I spent almost 9 years living and working in the UK and Australia, always within the Travel Industry where I worked in Hotels, Museums (such the British Museum or the V&A Museum in London), as a Product Manager in online travel accommodation and as a freelance tour guide in my free time.
After travelling around the world, I decided it was about time to go back home and work in my daydream job: being a local Tour Guide.
Since I was a child, I had a passion for Art and History, I've always been very curious, enthusiastic and a storyteller. As a very proud 'Madrilenian', I love showing my city through my eyes: the official history, the hidden gems, my favourite corners, the 'real' Madrid.
Besides guiding in monuments such the Royal Palace, Prado Museum, Reina Sofia or the Habsburgs quarter I also organize and tailor gastronomic, tapas or markets tours, flamenco shows, Retiro Park walk, Letters quarter, La Latina and tours focus in Family and Children.
Additionally, I also work as a Tour leader travelling throughout Spain and Portugal, so I'm happy to help you and give you tips about the rest of the Iberian peninsula best places.

Tour description
Do you want to know what Madrid was like in the Golden Age? How did writers like Cervantes, Lope de Vega or Quevedo live? What were the corralas and their streets like and why was it called "Huertas"? How has the neighborhood evolved to this day? What writers and playwrights of the generation of '98 and '27 also lived on these streets? The best tapas bars in the area? So this is your tour! Full of anecdotes, legends, rumors of the time, and how this Bohemian neighborhood in the center of Madrid has evolved to this day. We visit the Barrio de las Letras, also known as Las Huertas and we will finish together the congress of the deputies for those who want to go for tapas and vermouths in the area.
