David gave us a completely different way to experience Antigua, and we’re so glad we found him. Our tour was scheduled for about an hour and 15 minutes, but David ended up spending nearly two and a half hours with us. He never made us feel rushed and genuinely went above and beyond to give us a memorable experience. Being a chef, David brought a wonderful food perspective to the tour. We stopped for local snacks and sweets and finished with a meal, which made this much more than a traditional walking tour. Along the way, he took us through the huge local market—which was an experience in itself—as well as into churches and several interesting local shops, including the House of Jade. We saw parts of Antigua that we probably would never have thought to explore on our own. What we especially enjoyed was that this wasn’t simply a tour of the major sights. David gave us a different window into the city—its food, markets, businesses, churches, and everyday life. We had already taken another excellent walking tour of Antigua, and what surprised us was how little the two experiences overlapped. They actually complemented each other beautifully and gave us two very different perspectives on the same city. David is newer to this platform, so don’t let the small number of reviews make you hesitate. He was generous with his time, knowledgeable, personable, and clearly wanted us to have a great experience. Absolutely five stars. Give David a try—you may discover an Antigua you wouldn’t have found on your own.

Victor gave us an absolutely fantastic walking tour of Antigua. I’ve done walking tours in many places around the world, and I would easily put Victor’s tour in my top five. What really set Victor apart was the depth of his knowledge. He didn’t just point out buildings and give us dates—he brought Antigua’s history to life and shared stories, details, and hidden gems we never would have discovered on our own. He was also incredibly practical. He gave excellent recommendations based on different culinary tastes, helped us understand more about the local culture, and even gave us advice and information for the next part of our travels in Guatemala. And perhaps the best sign that you’re with the right guide: everywhere we went, people seemed to know Victor! It made the experience feel much more like exploring Antigua with a knowledgeable local than simply following a tour guide. Informative, entertaining, practical, and genuinely helpful. If you’re visiting Antigua and want to understand the city rather than simply see it, I highly recommend taking a tour with Victor.

Can highly recommend! Gio is amazing, and although the other guests canceled the tour and I was the only tourist who showed up, he still handled the tour with extreme professionalism. His knowledge about Antigua, Guatemalan history and current cultural and societal topics is amazing. He could answer every single question I had, which made the experience super valuable. Make sure to book this tour with Gio and don‘t forget to tip him well!

Grateful to say I have a new friend for life in Victor! Victor was an incredibly knowledgeable and enthusiastic guide. Not only did he guide us through the city and give a comprehensive overview of the history and main attractions, but he helped everyone in our group with questions about our personal itineraries, providing recommendations and advice. He seems to know everyone in town, greeting people in passing and introducing us to trustworthy vendors. You will be in great hands with Victor.

Victor was our guide for 1,5h, but our friend for life! A very informative tour, about the history & present of Antigua. As Victor is a local, we also got nice tips about what to eat & do during our stay. Can only recommend!

Klaudia was perfect. The initiation tour is great for 1st timers in Antigua, it will provide you with the basic knowledge about the city and it’s historical sites. Would absolutely recommend to tale the tour, specially with Klaudia; she has great energy and a kind spirit, she is energetic and knowledgeable and will go at your pace.

Loved how personal the tour was and how we learned about everything, not just Antigua. Food, culture, history, education, and population of Guatemala. This kind of first person information you can't find on YouTube or maps. I felt less like a tourist and more like a local afterwards.

Victor was so knowledgeable and such fun to be around for the tour. He gave us amazing recommendations for food and tips for our own adventures like hiking Acatenango. He truly loves his city and it reflects and his tour. He was very amicable towards us and towards the people in the city that we encountered. Would absolutely recommend!

Wir hatten eine tolle Tour mit Victor und haben viel über Antigua gelernt und konnten alle Fragen stellen. Die Tour war in einem eher kleinen Umfeld und man musste nicht so viel laufen. Victor hat uns außerdem tolle Tipps gegeben für Restaurants :)

We really enjoyed the tour with Alfredo. He not only gave us interesting historical insights and facts, but also talked about current issues, such as the economic and political situation. He was also happy to answer any questions we had. It was a great and very entertaining experience!
