If you only do one thing in El Salvador, it should be going on this tour with Dave. Dave was so passionate and knowledgeable about the history of his country and the rapid transformation it has undergone since the new president was elected. Dave has previously lived in New York and, therefore, speaks perfect English. We couldn’t recommend this tour more!

We had great time with Traveling Souls. We were lucky enough to attend on a day new guides were being trained so had four guides for the price of one. Their energy and enthusiasm was fantastic and the route of the tour took us to all the key locations even through Sunday masses meant we may have spent less time in some locations than we would have on other day. I 100% recommend this tour.

I really enjoyed the tour with Dave. He was very informative sharing El Salvadors history, we picked up some food and drinks as well. He pointed out the historical buildings and Museums for visiting later, and pointed out the best places to eat ES food

Originally I booked the tour in the morning but because I had a meeting so I changed it to the afternoon. The weather was bad, it was raining so heavily an hour before the tour begins. Dave texted me and said I am the only one who joined the tour but he did not cancel me. Instead he suggested if the weather is bad then we can go inside certain buildings for tour. I was glad that my walking tour didn't cancel because my walking tour was cancelled in Guatemala (I am the only person). So we met at the national library (the weather became better). Dave showed me several places (roughly about 2.5 hours). Gave me lots of history and information. He is very enthusiastic and professional. I really enjoyed the walking tour and thank you so much for not cancelling my tour because I was the only one.

Dave was one of the best guides we've ever had! Very knowledgeable, funny, professional and super interesting tour. Highly recommended. The tour was almost 4hrs long in the end but it did not feel like it at all! Thanks Dave!

Dave is no doubt the best tour guide in all of El Salvador, his enthusiasm, knowledge and pride for his own country is so clear and we were very grateful to be toured round this fascinating city by him. Dave is a lovely guy and I would this your recommend to anyone wanting to learn about El Salvador and its history or even just to see the sights of the city.

I had an absolute blast with Estefani, I was blessed to be the only one of the tour so I received an even more personal touch. It was wonderful to hear the history of El Salvador and see some of San Salvador’s most important sites and how these have changed over the years. The knowledge shared was excellent, all of my questions were answered without issue, and I enjoyed the personal experiences shared of the civil war and rise of gang culture in El Salvador. Estefani has a clear passion for her county and city and it was lovely to see things through her eyes.

Carlos was a great tour guide, he had the knowledge, the enthusiasm and the humour to make the tour a wonderful experience. The tour had everything I wanted and more and I would thoroughly recommend it. The recent history that the people here experienced was hard to comprehend but so pleased El Salvador is a different place for its people now and safe for visitors. Glad I came.

Dave is very knowledgeable about the history of El Salvador. That day I was the only one on the tour so I was able to ask a lot of questions and Dave was able to give me great information about the history and cut the country. I also really appreciate his passion and enthusiasm about the recent progress in the country. Dave has very good English, which is also a big plus.

Aprecié mucho que nos mostrara ambas realidades: la que ve el extranjero y la que vive el local. La información fue bien planteada, con una excelente comparación del presente y el Pasado. Muy educativa la explicación sobre Monseñor Romero, su vida y desenlace. Lo recomiendo muchísimo. Dave was the best! He took all the time to show us around and tell all about the city, its history and his own experiences. We really learned a lot from this tour and were very impressed, while also having fun. So we would highly recommend choosing Dave as your guide. ¡Excelente tour! Me acompañaron cuatro guías (Brandon, Roberto, Gabriela y Carlos), todos fueron súper amables, divertidos y pacientes. Se notaba que les encantaba compartir la historia y cultura de El Salvador, y además dominaban muchísimo la información. Me hicieron sentir muy cómoda y acompañada durante todo el recorrido.
