We are a group of guides passionate about Barcelona and we want to invite all travelers, not so travelers and curious locals to get to know this wonderful city in a closer way, so that they can enjoy it to the fullest and perhaps end up falling in love, like us. When you decide to travel, don't you feel an emotion that you can't explain? An adrenaline that invades you, makes you smile and leaves you breathless? We call this almost inexplicable feeling Resfeber: that emotion of something new that is about to arrive and you don't know where it may take you.
We invite you to discover a perfect conjunction between nature, history and architectural beauty : Montjüic Mountain.
We propose a walking tour where you will get to know some of its most notable places, while we discover its origins, its link with some of the most emblematic buildings in Barcelona, the reason for its name and how it became one of the essential places in the city. Barcelona geography.
We will begin the tour in the Mossèn Costa i Llobera Gardens, where we will learn about cactus species from all over the world, while we enjoy one of the best views from the Mount, touring the mountain and observing the sea.
We will also have a space for ancient history, passing by Montjuic Castle, an old fortress from the 18th century, and the remains of the old Jewish cemetery, where we will tell you how the history of this place is intertwined with iconic spaces in the center of Barcelona. .
We will return to recent history to find the Montjuic Olympic ring, a set of facilities that were part of the space where the 1992 Olympic Games took place. We will find some of the symbols of this sporting history, which is still alive in the daily lives of its inhabitants.
We will walk through the Miramar Gardens, one of the main parks created for the Barcelona International Exhibition of 1929. Between panoramic views of the city, sculptures and fountains that hide legends, you will learn the history of the ambitious architectural project that turned a mountain almost depopulated in the small city that it is today.
We will end the tour in one of the most impressive buildings on the tour: Plaza España. In addition to the emblematic Venetian towers, built to serve as the entrance to the International Exhibition, we will visit the National Museum of Art of Catalonia, where we will say goodbye hoping to see them again soon in the city.
Some of the places we will pass through:
