Free historical tour of Villa de Leyva in Chiva

Welcome to this free tour in Chiva through Villa de Leyva.
 On this tour we will do a 3-hour night tour in tourist Chiva where we will go through in a timeline all the events that occurred in the territory.

 Beginning a narrative from 130 million years ago when the territory was sea and that thanks to this situation today Villa de Leyva is important for its paleontological wealth.
Likewise, we tell how humans appear on earth according to the ancestral Muisca mythology.
Narrating the history of Bachué and the subsequent Muisca confederation with Bochica and his descendants.
Quickly arriving around 1500, and in 1560 the foundation of the first villa , where the narrative involves the colonizers and religious communities, the reason for the transfer and subsequent foundation of Villa de Leyva in 1572.
At the same time , the genesis of liquor and taxes, the flour industry, the complexes of colonial mills and the muleteering are narrated.
In this time and place, the birth of democracy in the country will be narrated, the transformation of the new Granada to what Colombia is today , the birth of the congress of the republic, the presence of the viceroy don Juan de Castellanos, of Fray Bartolomé de the houses among many other characters of this time.
