We had a wonderful GuruWalk tour in Ho Chi Minh City with Joseph! He brought the history of Vietnam and the city to life in a fascinating and engaging way. He was also incredibly warm and friendly with our children, making a real effort to include them throughout the tour. We visited places that we probably wouldn’t have discovered on our own and learned interesting insights and local knowledge that made the experience even more special. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Ho Chi Minh City for the first time!

Kio was very knowledgeable and was very engaging. It was great to see the landmarks of importance in Ho Chi Minh City and to learn the stories behind them. Kio was also good with her pacing as it was a hot day so we weren't rushed. She also kept it as interactive as possible trying to engage us all the way. One of the most original and interesting tours I've ever taken! We met, went shopping together and then went to Jamie's apartment to cook together and of course enjoy delicious Vietnamese home-made food! Of course there was a lot of chatting, walking around the neighborhood together and learning about the local culture and food of course! 100% do book this tour - it will be the highlight of your stay in HCM city!!!

Absolutely loved the experience!! I was the only person signed up and instead of canceling they gave me a private tour of many spots related to the war. I learned so much! A special highlight was the mid-tour stop in the home of the owner of Detour Asia. He invited us to rest and learn how to make Vietnamese coffee. It was incredible—12/10 experience. Joseph took us to all the sites listed in the tour ad as well as a bunch of other interesting, hidden spots that we will definitely return to so we can have a longer time to soak up the atmosphere. Joseph was energetic and entertaining in his delivery of the information he shared about his home city and gave us a much better understanding of the history of Saigon and of Vietnam more broadly.
