We did not know what to expect before the tour. We we very pleasantly surprised by the entire program and the amount of historical information Henrietta was able to present while she skillfully moved our large group around key sites of interest. A wonderful way to learn about a very complex topic.

Our tour with Javier was both informative and entertaining. The tour treated the seriousness of the subject respectfully and appropriately - and our tour was not afraid to give both the historical facts, as well as some of his own (clearly signalled) opinions and thoughts on the impact of the war at the time and the concequences of it.

We began with only limited knowledge of the Spanish Civil War, learnt from limited reading of English novels on the subject. Our Guide took us back to the beginning and set this in the context of the current political situation in Spain and in the home counties of the he present. All this was in a light and accessible manner as we strolled gently round the sights.

I cannot remember who was my guide but it was a really nice Greek man. It really surpassed my expectations! I was initially hesitant because I had never gone on a walking tour but my girlfriend insisted and I do not regret it! It was sort of a walking lecture but he managed to tell the story in an incredibly.engaging matter. Everything linked together well and we walked away with a better understanding of the history.
