🏯 Shang Dynasty City Walls
Built more than 3,600 years ago, this is one of China’s oldest, largest and best-preserved ancient city walls from the Shang Dynasty. It stands as crucial historical proof of Zhengzhou’s status as an early capital of Chinese urban civilization.
🏺 Zhengzhou Shang Capital Site Museum
Dedicated to the relics of the Shang Dynasty capital, this museum showcases precious cultural relics including exquisite Shang bronzes, jades, pottery and ritual vessels, fully unveiling the origin and brilliance of early Chinese civilization.
🌳 Zhengzhou Shang City National Archaeological Site Park
Free, open green space integrated with the ancient city wall ruins. Enjoy Xuan Niao Square, bronze model exhibits, and shaded paths to relax and take photos between museum visits.
📜 Zhengzhou Confucius Temple
First built in the Eastern Han Dynasty (58–75 AD, about 1,900 years ago), and later rebuilt in the Yuan, Ming and Qing dynasties. It is a quiet, historic temple for honoring Confucius, where we will talk about traditional Chinese culture, philosophy and ancient education.
🛕 Zhengzhou City God Temple
Originally built in the early Ming Dynasty, about 600 years ago, and repaired many times in the Qing Dynasty. It is the largest and best-preserved ancient architectural complex in downtown Zhengzhou, with typical Ming and Qing style, featuring beautiful wood carvings, stone carvings and glazed roof decorations.
🧱 Eastern City Wall Ruins Museum (Dongchengyuan Site Museum)
Built directly on the real Shang Dynasty city wall ruins. Inside you can see the actual cross-section of the ancient rammed-earth city wall, with clear layers from the Shang Dynasty and later dynasties. Understand ancient wall construction and Zhengzhou’s millennia-long development.
🏮 Bo Du Xin Xiang
A beautifully renovated old alley that mixes traditional Zhengzhou culture and modern creativity. Perfect for photos and experiencing the new look of old Zhengzhou.
🌿 Southeast City Wall Cultural Park (Optional Rest Stop)
A nearby green and cultural space; southern area for kids’ play, northern area for viewing the original city wall and cultural displays, a great family-friendly stop.
🌸 Zijingshan Park (Optional Rest Stop)
A convenient central park to relax, grab water, or enjoy a quick break before wrapping up the tour.
