I am a History teacher in London of over 30 years’ experience. I graduated from Queen Mary [University London] where I first had the opportunity to take walking tours of the East End with City Walks. A large section of my degree concerned the History of London. I have previously worked as a self-employed tour guide for Britmovietours and was instrumental in the development and delivery of their Jack the Ripper tour 2009-11. More recently I have been working on behalf of Original London Walks guiding their Maritime riverside walk and their Sunday Boat tour[in conjunction with the Brunel Museum]. I also work as a volunteer on behalf of Wilton’s Music Hall [both as a tour guide and usher]. In 2014 I spent the summer at Fort Phil Kearny, Wyoming USA, primarily as a tour guide to the Fetterman Battlefield and undertook desk and museum duties at the Fort itself. I am really excited by what I can share with you.
The Great War for civilization 1914-18. Reflect upon memorials of duty, remembrance and gratitude. Discover war fever, celebratory damage; where a King met a President and the first blitz. These are just some of the highlights from this special walk, marking the 100th anniversary of the War to end wars.
