Athens Walking Tour

Had a fantastic time on the walking tour of Athens! Alexia was knowledgeable, friendly, and made the history come alive. We visited all the key landmarks, from the Acropolis to the charming Plaka neighborhood. It was the perfect way to experience the city's rich culture and stunning views. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Athens!

Alex had intimate knowledge of the city and facts/ legends not very well known. His vigour and enthusiasm was infectious. We got to experience a good slice of the old part of Athina.

Alexia is an excellent tour guide. She keeps refreshing your memory and is an amazing storyteller. I enjoyed the tour. She takes care that you are in the shade. She made sure we had a toilet stop and bought us water. V kind!

Walter is very knowledgeable. He is great at explaining all the facts and the itinerary of the walk is worth it. He can be teacher or professor.

In just three hours, we managed to see so much of the city center, while also learning about history, culture, and everyday life in Athens. The pace was perfect—not rushed, but never slow—and it felt like discovering the city with a knowledgeable local friend. I’d highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Athens!!

Amazing energy, vast knowledge and a true passion for the Greek culture and way of life

Alexia’s enthusiasm is infectious. Great anecdotes & real depth of knowledge. My wife and I ( privately😂) referred to her as the “Pocket Rocket”. We have done many Guruwalks and no one guide has walked more backwards as they talked to the group! She is great. As ever, Guru walks delivered an excellent value-added .trip to a whistle stop city break. .

The guide walked us surrounding the Acropolis, showing some places we would have missed if walking by ourselves. It would have been useful to give a historical context of the city's development, not only describing the monuments we see but also amply the Greek history overall (10 minutes could be helpful). Also to be mindful of the time, respect punctuality as some guests could feel offended to wait for latecomers. tart the tour on time, not 15 minutes late. The break was also longer than expected. On the personal side the guide told us interesting facts.
