Pedro's Historical & Cultural Tour was exactly the right way to start my time in Cochabamba. We set off from Plaza Colón and worked our way through the historic center, and at every stop Pedro gave real context about how the city grew, the events that shaped it, and why it matters to the people who live here today. His English is excellent: clear, easy to follow, and precise enough to handle the nuances of local history without losing anything in translation. That made a big difference, because there is a lot of depth here. The highlight for me was the murals. Pedro didn't just point them out; he walked through what each one depicts, the history and social themes behind the imagery, and how public art fits into the city's identity. I would have walked right past most of that meaning on my own. Along the way he also shared a lot about Cochabamba culture more broadly: the food, the traditions, the mix of Indigenous and Spanish heritage, and the pride people here take in their city. It felt less like a list of sights and more like an introduction to a place and its people. Knowledgeable, well organized, and genuinely generous with his time. If you want to understand Cochabamba rather than just see it, book Pedro. Highly recommended.

Thanks Pedro, that you did the tour even though I was the only one due to the little tourism at the moment after the bloqueos! It was very interesting to learn about the history and the political situation at the moment. I liked this combination of the historical facts and the facts about everyday life in Bolivia a lot! My favourite part was to visit the market and to see how everyone knows Pedro and therefore is very open to answer questions. All in all totally recommendable!

I enjoyed my walking tour with Pedro. He was very patient and took time to explain some details a second time when I asked him. Pedro also provided a PDF of tourist spots and restaurants to visit as a whatsapp message after the tour. I’d recommend this tour as a great way to begin exploring Cochabamba.

Jerson fue un guia,10, dominaba toda la historia de cochabamba, sabia hacer muy agradable la visita y contaba muchas anecdotas que hacia el tour muy interesante. Lo recomiendo al 100%

This was a fantastic tour which had so much to learn about. I found the guide’s discussions about Bolivia’s history and cultural identity really interesting and I appreciated that he told us his personal views on things too. The tour did over run by about 40 minutes which isn’t the end of the world and I enjoyed all the information but just as a heads up in case you plan on doing something directly after.

I expected a trip through the local attractions. Instead we were treated to an extensive discussion of the indigenous history of Bolivia, received extensive explanations of street murals, learned a lot about local culture, and toured markets and other local places where everyday Bolivians experience their daily lives. It was unexpected, and in an entirely good way.

Jensen is a very interesting guy who took us on a great little tour of central Cochabamba. We were treated with good information on the historical and more unusual facts about the city. We also tried some local delicacies and Jensen gave us a lot of information about what else we may like to do in Cochabamba. The walking tours are always worth it.

We loved the walking tour with Pedro. He gave us so much information about the culture and history of Bolivia, Cochabamba and surrounding countries. Even though the tour lasted for 2,5 hours we were not bored or distracted for a second! He could answer all our questions too

Jerson was great! He knew so much and was very friendly. He not only explained the physical places in Cochabamba but also explained the local culture. Even after the tour, he remained communicative regarding activities we had mentioned that we wanted to do. He recommended a local soccer match and attended with us, and then went with us to a restaurant he recommended to have traditional a Cochabamba dish. Would definitely recommend this tour and Jerson himself!
