Fabulous tour. Very clear instructions where to meet. His English was very good. We enjoyed João very much. It was fun and informative, I highly recommend this tour. Great sense of humor also.

João was prompt and easily located in the meeting location in Coimbra. He allowed time for stragglers and began the uphill tour with three of us. He provided some good restaurant recommendations along the way. He also provided some interesting insight about the student culture of Coimbra.
Unfortunately, the tour progressed more slowly than anyone in the group wanted. There were also long periods of standing around without discussion. Also, with this small group, there was one attendee who decided she liked talking more than listening to the guide, and the guide let her talk and talk.
I think this tour might be better as a brief 1 to 1-1/2 hour walking tour.

Very informative way to get to know the city. Lots of history covered. NOT a food tour as we did not stop for any during the walk. Guide was pleasant and knowledgeable.

The 2 hr 15 min tour was just right as it’s a little hilly though not as challenging as Lisbon. The time was sufficient to learn about the history and see the main attractions. Joao was very engaging and shared about the life of the students in Coimbra as well as the politics and life of the Portuguese people.

João's tour was enlightening and engaging. He presented his city very well and educated us on many aspects of Coimbra's importance to Portugal and the World. Also had good touristy information on what to see, eat, and do.

Joao gave us an informative tour which my wife and I enjoyed.
We made this booking at the last minute after our tour for the morning was cancelled 1 hour before it started because he didn’t have enough takers.
More notice would be appreciated. Luckily we were able to book with Joao
