Over the past decade, I’ve often taken friends around my city, wandering the streets and alleys of Chengdu to discover its vibrant energy and unique character.
I love digging into the fun side of city culture—I’m passionate about both classic traditions and unique local experiences. I’m also an enthusiastic foodie who loves exploring every tasty corner of Chengdu.
By the way, I love traveling and outdoor sports. I practice Chinese calligraphy, especially clerical script (lishu), an elegant and ancient style of writing. I also enjoy cooking, and my signature dishes are mapo tofu and twice-cooked pork.

I felt like I understood Chengdu so much more after being with Yuan for a few hours. The best walking tours are the ones where you get a good mix of history as well as an understanding of how the local people live.
