Excellent tour

Primoz was an excellent tour guide! My husband, 21-year-old son, and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour and we learned so much! My son said (and I agree) that he thought this was one of the best tours he’d been on and we’ve been on many when traveling. The range of material that Primoz covered was impressive from the history to the architecture to poets to current politics to how to pronounce basic words and greetings in Slovene. It was all fascinating! My son also commented that Primoz had the most props of any tour we’ve been on. He had postcards, photos in little frames, his passport from when he was a teenager (this was the former Yugoslavia and apparently such passports are worth a considerable amount of money now for historical reasons), and even a street sign—with all props coming out of his “magic backpack”. We also really liked the range of sites a c street objects he showed us: Street signs and building signs that helped us learn pronunciation; the pattern of streets, and why they were laid out as they were; the history of street names, including one that was named Flower Street when in fact, the real history was that people were executed there in past centuries; and the list goes on! One of the most interesting facts mentioned that encapsulated a lot of the current countries complex history was that his grandmother had lived in six different countries while at the same address. He chose different sites to see and stories to tell that made the country’s very complex history more understandable for newcomers, even if you had a little to no background. This is a great tour for people who know a lot and who know very little about Slovenia. Highly recommend! Primoz was very informative and knowledgeable. He showed us real old Slovenian currencies and other historical things that made the experience special.

I have the habit of doing walking tour in different cities I visit. I have been to good and bad ones. And left wanting to make a positive review for Primoz. One could see he really is dedicated to his work, and prepare his routes and work. Bringing physical totems of Slovenia and the city history, or photos when necessary to illustrate his point. I really appreciate my tour and his tour. I recommend it :)

This was a super interesting tour. If you are interested in the history of Ljubljana/Slovenia, this tour is perfect. The route was well paced and the information with regards to each location was woven in perfectly. I felt very immersed in the historical context of the tour. I especially enjoyed the information on former Yugoslavia and the physical items the guide showed us along the way, for example, the old Yugoslav passport, previous Slovenian currency and street signs from previous names that have since been changed with new eras. This is an excellent way to spend an afternoon in Ljubljana!!!

Si quieres conocer una cara diferente de Ljubljana, este tour es perfecto. “LJUBLJANA DE NOCHE: recorrido fuera de lo común” fue una experiencia súper entretenida, diferente y llena de historias interesantes que normalmente no encuentras en los tours tradicionales. La ciudad de noche tiene una energía especial, y el guía hizo un trabajo increíble mezclando historia, curiosidades, leyendas y rincones escondidos de una manera muy dinámica y divertida. Me encantó descubrir lugares menos turísticos y aprender detalles de la cultura local mientras caminábamos por las calles iluminadas de la ciudad. El ambiente fue muy agradable y el recorrido se sintió cercano y auténtico. Lo recomiendo muchísimo para quienes ya conocen lo básico de Ljubljana o simplemente quieren vivir una experiencia distinta y memorable. Sin duda, uno de los mejores tours que hice en la ciudad.

Primoz gave a passionate and interesting tour of the city with great knowledge of all the huge changes to Slovenia that have impacted on the architecture.

Highly recommend! Perfect if you’ve covered the main “sights” during the day. This takes you into different parts of the city and tells you something new and unexpected on every street. One of the best walking tours I’ve done!

Loved this tour. Learnt loads of interesting aspects from a local person who clearly loves the city. He was very happy with questions and gave historical plus current day information which I really enjoyed. Saw bits of the city that I wouldn't have found myself. Loved it. Thanks so much!

Primoz was an excellent guide. He is clearly passionate about Jlubljana and Slovenia and has the knowledge to go with it. His explanation of the history the city and the buildings and architecture was fantastic. He answered questions with clarity and ease and has an engaging personality. This tour caters more to adults who are interested in the history, conflict’s, architecture the city has.

Primoz brought Ljubljanas past to life with liveliness and passion. His anecdotes and props enriched the tour. Whole heartedly recommend.

Amazing tour. Highly recommended!

Great walk-Primoz was very engaging and knowledgeable. A couple of days later, armed with a better understanding, we revisited of the area and enjoyed soaking up the atmosphere. Would highly recommend this tour.

I am sorry that I don't remember his name but Slovenian pronunciations are killing me. He was great, a good story teller, and told lovely details of Ljubljana history. Everyone should join this tour to understand the city better.

This is a must-do walk tour. Primoz is funny, knowledgeable, engaging and very interesting, complete with visual aids. Primoz is passionate about his home, the people, history, economy and so much more. Showed local neighbourhoods, explained the local culture and was ready to answer any questions thrown at him. Thank you Primoz for sharing the real Ljubljana with us - you were amazing!! Highly recommended !!
