Victoria’s Spanish Civil War tour was a true highlight of our trip to Madrid. I attended with my husband and we were joined by another couple. All of us were equally impressed by her depth of knowledge, clarity, and passion for the subject. It was clear early on that Victoria is an expert. Her understanding of the Spanish Civil War is exceptional, and she presented it through a clear, engaging narrative that brought the history vividly to life at a very ideal pace/tempo. The visual materials she used—maps, photographs, timelines and historical documents—added important context and made the experience far richer than a standard walking tour. It genuinely felt like having a personal historian guiding us through Madrid. What also stood was her personal family history connection to the topic, which was really interesting. The stories and anecdotes she shared made the history feel tangible and human, and her respect for the people and events of the period was evident throughout. She also did an excellent job of placing the Spanish Civil War within its broader international setting, clearly explaining how it influenced and foreshadowed the events of the Second World War. Her English was flawless, and her delivery was clear and engaging throughout. She connected political, historical, and cultural threads, giving us a nuanced and well-rounded understanding of the conflict. The pacing of the walk itself was excellent as well: we saw all the key sites without feeling exhausted. Information on the Spanish Civil War is surprisingly hard to find (no dedicated museum) and tours are rare, despite it being such an integral part of the nation’s history. For that reason alone, this experience is a must-do. If you’re considering booking a tour with Victoria, we couldn’t recommend it more highly. Five stars doesn’t feel like enough—we’d happily give ten. 🌟

We enjoyed the tour with Nacho! There aren’t many tours available for families with kids so we were glad we had this option for our quick trip in Madrid. Normally my kids join whatever tour we choose, but this time they got to enjoy the tour themselves! A win-win for everybody. Definitely recommend!

Fantastic Tour! The theme was original, the Moorish past (and origin) of Madrid, which made it stand out from other tours and was the reason for my choice. It included very interesting and often overlooked sites. Nic, the tour guide was a charm. His passion for what he does truly transpired. He was very knowledgeable, engaging and fun, and spiced up the tour with some secrets and prizes. I learned a lot, and enjoyed the tour very much. Hats off to Nic and his very well thought tour and artful touring.

This tour was a wonderful way to experience the Museo Prado. Neither of us are knowledgeable about the history of the artists but Miguel tailored our tour with good insights and information. He is very knowledgeable about the works displayed at the museum.

Best art tour ever! I had the pleasure of taking the Prado tour with Sissi and she was amazing. She took us through the art history in a clear but fun away. It has not been that clear how the art evolves with time and her expressive description made it fun too. Highly recommended to anyone thinking about visiting the museums in Madrid.

The guide—who’s honestly a total history guru—has this amazing way of making the darkest parts of the Inquisition era feel both accessible and fascinating. From the brutal torture methods to the tragic stories of Jewish and Muslim communities, you get every gripping detail, but in a way that’s also super engaging and informative. What I loved most is the guide’s style—so expressive and professional, it feels like you’re watching a performance. And the connections drawn between the Inquisition and modern-day religious conflicts really made me think long after the tour ended. If you’re after something that’s educational but also super entertaining, this is it. 10/10 would recommend!

It was absolutely incredible! Exploring the hidden corners and rich history of the city with Marik was an unforgettable experience. And ending the day watching the sunset from the Temple of Debod with him as our guide was simply magical. Undoubtedly, a tour I'm looking forward to repeating in the future.
