Fue un buen tour pero demasiado tiempo para visitar dos cosas en realidad. Quizás con más movimiento por la ciudad sería mejor. Además, demasiado centrado en la catedral y poco en la historia pasada y actual de Nicaragua.

One of the very best Free Tours ever, and I have done loads, really! Relaxed, authentic, super knowledgable, passionate and extremly helpful, even after the tour! I have never had a guide that is so relaxed with the time concept. We stayed chitchatting what felt like forever. Felt like being with a friend. Dear Alejandro, what a pleasure! Thank you so much! Maria was excellent, she covered all the main spots of Leon, unfortunately we missed the market because it was sunday. But other than that everything was perfect, her presentation was engaging and interesting and she was ready to answer all the questions we had. She also gave us good recommendations for spots and tips insight into local culture.

I was on my own, which was a really cool and unique experience. Yesenia knew so much about the history of Léon, which she tells in perfectably understandable English. I would definitely recommend doing the free walking tour.

Vladimir was amazing! He was welcoming and friendly. He gave us so much information that was from a local perspective and so much better than just reading it! He gave food and drink recommendations too! Would HIGHLY recommend!

I really enjoyed this tour. The pace was less relentless than some walking tours I've been on, and we weren't on our feet the whole time, but we were always learning. Alejandro is an interesting man who knows a lot about the history of his county and has thought about it. I particularly enjoyed trying food and drinks in the market, and talking about history in the lovely hotel.

Wow! What a fantastic tour, cannot recommend it enough. Alejandro takes you on a journey through Leon’s history in an incredibly accessible and diverse way. His pacing was fantastic along with the added extras visiting the market and trying some local food. Book the tour, he’s fabulous!

Great tour! Can only recommend it. If not one of the best walking tours I ever did

I was incredibly satisfied with the route that we took, and I really loved how knowledgeable our guide was about the history of the area. Not just that, but he had a very clear understanding of the socio-political factors that influenced the history of Nicaragua from different countries. He knew things about U.S. history that even I, an American, didn't know! If you're easily bored by history, I wouldn't recommend this tour, as a significant portion of the time is spent listening to some history lessons; however, if you really love history, this is the perfect tour for you.

Anthony gave us an incredibly insightful glimpse into León's rich history and beautiful culture. Instead of just chronologically going through past events, Anthony described how history has shaped the modern day realities of Nicaraguans. He was extremely personable, well-researched, and took the time to ask us what we wanted to know about. Highly recommend taking the tour with Anthony as he will give you a good foundation for exploring Leon and the surrounding area.

Best walking tour ever

The others who had booked the tour cancelled, so just Alejandro and I were left. This didn’t bother him, so we continued on a one on one tour. Great knowledge of history, we walked through the streets and he unfolded the history of Nicaragua and León chronologically, tailoring the route to highlight key places linking to the explanation. He also gave me great recommendations as we walked for food, drinks, art performances and everything else. Would definitely recommend!

We had a wonderful walking tour in the old town of León. Alejandro, our guide, speaks excellent English and is more than happy to share stories about his country, town, and its history. It's a impressive story. Our children also participated enthusiastically. We were truly pleasantly surprised. The stories, and especially the market experience, were fantastic.
