Tour description

Swayambhunath is one of the world heritage sites with beautiful ancient structures and values. It is also known as the "Monkey Temple" and walking to the Monkey temple takes 50-60 minutes through the narrow streets and a few shops along the way. Walking over the Swayambhu Marga you pass the Bishnumati River. After reaching Stupa, you can explore the beautiful view of Kathmandu valley from the top of the hill. Saveral paintings, prayer wheels, statues are other highlights. It can be seen through the Swayambhunath museum. There is a temple next to the top of the hill dedicated to Goddess "Saraswati". As you can find temples and chaityas of many Buddhist and Hindu deities in this complex, the Stupa is a reference of special ties between Hindus and Buddhists. The Changu Narayan Temple is also a beautiful temple located near the Swayambhunath Stupa in Nepal, also built during the time of the Shah and Malla kings. With the spectacular views of the Kathmandu valley, this temple gives you the chance to spend some special moments of your life. The temple which is among a small village called "Changu", surrounded by the "champak" braid, makes your moments very precious. Changu Narayan temple is dedicated to Lord "Vishnu" with the belief of reincarnation of Lord "Vishnu" as "Narayan". Here you have a great opportunity to explore old art work of Nepalese people in metal and wood. Those monuments, statues and images of the goddess take you back to the period of the ancient kings. Changu Narayan, one of the four major narayans in the Kathmandu valley, is worshiped by people mainly in the months of Baisakh, Asar, Shrawan, Bhadra, Kartik, Poush and Magh during different festivals.
