Free Walking Tours through the Alfama Lisboa

Francisco was an incredible guide. He was incrediblely knowledgeable about Lisbon and it's history, while presenting in very entertaining manner. I could confidently say he is the best tour guide I've ever had. Thank you Francisco for showing and teaching us about your beautiful city.

We had a brilliant time with António! The tour was very well planned out and provided a perfect introduction to the history of Lisboa and by extension Portugal as a whole. There were so many interesting facts and local tips that we would have never discovered on our own. António was a great host who immediately made us feel welcome and was happy to answer any and all questions we had. As a bonus, his personal map of notable sites & recommendations has been a great resource for the rest of our trip. 5 stars! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We had an excellent tour with Crespo. This was a great way to start our trip in Lisbon. He took us all around, it was a very thorough tour. Each stop and story was very entertaining and helped me understand the city better. I learned a lot, had fun, and fell in love with Lisbon. Great storytelling! Highly recommend.

Inês is an amazing tourguide. She conveys a lot of information in a very entertaining way, and really made me feel like I got to know Lisbon a bit.

Fraga was energetic, informed and a great tour guide. He was animated which was really engaging, taking us all over Lisbon to see the sites and explain the city through it's history. He seemed to know lots of people and is clearly a well liked individual in the city, which added characters to the tour.

The guide was a master at telling stories that intertwine in a natural, comical, and fascinating way. The tour took in beautiful places, included surprises, and above all, provided a lot of interesting information.

Crespo was extremely knowledgeable & passionate about his subject. Unfortunately we were running late as our train from Porto was late arriving in Lisbon but we contacted Tours of my life and Crespo very kindly waited for us for which we were grateful for as we would have missed this really great experience

Mr Crespo was not only a tour guide with many years’ experience, but also a knowledgeable historian and a talented storyteller. His English was very fluent. He led the group very well throughout the tour. Many thanks also for the refreshments and tastings.

Walter was a wonderful host and gave us such an informative, insightful and entertaining walking tour of Alfama. Walter revealed the history of the heart of Lisbon and peppered it with ‘local’ knowledge. We were enthralled and he had a captive audience as he guided us through the twists and turns in Alfama’s streets. The choc cup of cherry liqueur and the pastel de nata were the icing on a marvellous walking tour with the wonderful Walter. Thank you so much!

Absolutely worth the three hours. So much packed in both in terms of sights and history. Highly recommend, Lia was great.

Crespo as he likes to be called (Jorge or Giorgos to us) was extra sassy and fun, walked us throughout the city, led us on the city's secrets and educated us on the country's history. Didn't notice how 3 hours passed. Obrigada!

Great way to start your holiday in Lisboa, lovely guide, very knowledgeable and friendly and helpful.

Ines was just an outstanding tour guide. She spoke excellent English and was very easy to understand. She showed us many interesting sites and explained them all very well. I would highly recommend the tour. My only caveat is if you have mobility issues, this tour isn’t for you. There are quite a few steps. Lisbon is very hilly!

Jack was a great guide and the tour was very informative and entertaining. Jack was very cognizant of people needing to take breaks due to hills and heat, and he did a wonderful job providing information. I wish all of my gurus were exactly like Jack

Rita was great, one of the best free walking tours we have had! She truly showed us Lisbon and all it had to offer including some Portuguese words! The free tasting was great too and we are much more knowledgeable than we were!
