Getting to know Guatemala City by Public Bus and on Foot.

** LAST MINUTE RESERVATIONS ARE NOT ACCEPTED ** We will discover a bit of this city, where modernism has practically managed to cover the old buildings. Originally, the city of Guatemala was established in the year 1776, after it was transferred to this place, from what is now Antigua Guatemala. We will visit the best known points such as the civic center, from where we will start our walking tour, where you will find the beauty that is in it and that is kept hidden. We will continue on 7a. Avenida seeing the building of the newspaper of Central America, the church of Calvario (a mixture between baroque and neo-classical), we will continue on the 6th. Avenue (the main one in the city), seeing the evidence of the few ancient sites that remain, until we reach the church of San Francisco, we will see the building of what was once the post office and telegraphs. Then we will have a delicious coffee in an old house, which is the ideal stop, until we reach the heart of the city, in El Parque Central, where we will appreciate the National Palace (offices of the President of the Republic).
