I am Fran, art historian and currently specializing in museums and cultural management. I have always been passionate about the world of biology and medicine, perhaps that is why I always try to combine both disciplines. Being part of GuruWalk is a great opportunity to continue acquiring experience while sharing my knowledge. And, of course, it will be a pleasure to be able to exchange them with yours.
We will make a route visiting (from outside) some palaces, and already missing buildings, which were of vital importance for the promotion of science and medicine in Spain.
Specifically, I will focus on the arrival of Carlos III and the negotiations he had with Paris, until he ordered to bring a rich collection to the current headquarters of the Royal Academy of Fine Arts of San Fernando.
We will finish the tour on Paseo del Prado, referring to what he conceived as a walk dedicated to science.
