I'm a Swiss-Swedish-English musician and philosopher who's been living in Brighton since 2002. I originally moved here because of the vibrant and fantastic music scene, which I am still very much a part of today - you may even be lucky enough to catch me playing a gig somewhere! I set up these Free Walking Tours in December 2018 as I am a huge fan of free walking tours and love traveling myself. As a big fan of history - both orthodox and off-track - I have fallen in love with the fascinating, quirky and colourful history of this fantastic city!

About the tour

A visit to Brighton would not be complete without exploring her infamous nightlife and crass party scene! Chances are, you're here for a ‘Dirty Weekend’ anyway? Come join us on the 'Sex, Drugs & Brighton Rock – Free Walking Tour' for a truly mind-blowing introduction to Brighton’s glamorous party vibe and seedy underbelly...! Learn why Brighton has been the UK’s ultimate party destination since Victorian times, with musicians, dancers, street performers and students making sure that anything & everything goes!

Hear crazy stories about gangster-run clubs, hardcore punk bunkers littered with corpses, transvestite cabarets and shockingly sexy late-night beach parties. Find out about how an illegal Gay Protest has become Europe’s third largest Pride Parade – and how the LGBT party scene has made Brighton the official gay capital of the UK.

Discover how underneath the façade of shiny night clubs, make-up and glitter lies a fascinating history featuring the likes of The Beatles, Jimi Hendrix, The Who, Elton John, the Acid House movement and Fatboy Slim – alongside tales of Berlinesque Techno parties, gang fights, trunk murders and frost-bitten toes!

Brighton’s nightlife isn’t just about clubbing and acid, it’s also about the buzzing local music scene, with gigs and live performances taking place every night of the year. So, party people: if you’re taunted by the purple haze: allow us to introduce you to Brighton’s world-famous party scene! The tour takes place between 6PM and 8:30PM, perfectly preparing you for your own crazy night out!
