Graduated in Guide, Information and Tourist Assistance in 2020. My passion is history, art and old photography. At 17 years of age I started the blog 'Memorias de Fuenlabrada' in which I publish about various investigations of different historical archives, old images as well as folk events about my city and which currently has more than 15,000 followers on Facebook. In love with Madrid, with its traditional and historic streets, I hope to be a good ambassador of this wonderful city and make visitors fall in love with it too. On my visits, I usually keep a notebook of most of Madrid's monuments to try to solve questions or issues about the tourist resource. Mainly I give more importance to the history of the monument, its curiosities and what other works the author has in Madrid than the very opening date of a sculpture or monument, for example. If you ask me about the date or the author of a specific sculpture on the route, you can consult me and I will review it in a moment in the notebook. I also like to show old images of the elements of the route through my mobile device, to learn about our past and its transformation today. I am 24 years old and I will be delighted to guide you through Madrid as well as answer any questions.

Tour description

I offer a pleasant walk through Madrid's El Retiro Park to teach visitors a large part of its monuments and in an educational way through maps and old photographs (mobile device) and telling the most striking anecdotes of this green lung. We will visit in this free tour: - Sources of the Galapagos, of the Artichoke and Egypt. - Paseo de Reyes and main pond. - El Parterre, the oldest living being in Madrid and Puerta de Felipe VI. - The Forest of Remembrance (optional). - The Fallen Angel and the history of that location. - La Rosaleda and its sources (if it were open). - Palacio de Cristal and Velázquez. - Cecilio Rodríguez Gardens (if open). - Old Madrid zoo, menagerie and its elf. - Car ride, history and current uses. - Fisherman's House and Artificial Mountain (currently under construction). - Statues and monuments visited on the tour: Alfonso XII, General Martínez Campos, Benito Pérez Galdós, Santiago Ramón y Cajal, Jacinto Benavente (in the Parterre), to the Republic of Cuba and Brothers Álvarez Quintero. - We finish the visit at the Puerta de Madrid, at the beginning of the Paseo de Coches. I recommend bringing comfortable shoes, a bottle of water and a desire to learn. On my visits, I usually keep a notebook of most of Madrid's monuments to try to solve questions or issues about the tourist resource. Mainly I give more importance to the history of the monument, its curiosities and what other works the author has in Madrid than the very opening date of a sculpture or monument, for example. If you ask me about the date or the author of a sculpture or a specific building on the route, you can consult me and I will review it in a moment in the notebook. The duration is approximately 2 hours and 30 minutes. If there is more time I extend the tour to the Arab House. My main objective is to publicize the El Retiro Park. Images taken by me on July 5, 2020. RULES: Maximum of 4 people per group. Maximum reservation of 48 hours in advance. MANDATORY: bring mask and hydroalcoholic gels (personal use)
