Local experience in Rissani - Free Walking Tour

Rissani is located in the heart of Tafilalet region.

Walking through the center of the town when it is the Market day is a thrilling experience. There, we will feel the atmosphere, the movement of people and goods and we will also understand the importance of this town for the rest of the region. We will go into the souk, the place where the market is prepared. Our attraction will be turned to live animals, species, vegetables, fruits and craftsmen working the wood. Everything is surrounded with their smells and colors.

Rissani is the place where the ancestors of the current King began to conquer Morocco. This is also the place where is buried the founder of the Moulay Ali-Sharif dynasty. Part of the mausoleum is open to non-Muslims, so we will see the worked wood cedar doors and the painted tiles which decorate walls and floors.
