I am from Granada, one of the most beautiful cities in the world and the place that I want to teach, I am 30 years old and I have always lived here so apart from knowing its streets and corners I know the day to day and the life of the neighborhoods that I love show the tourist. Throughout my life I have been walking through its streets and hearing about its history, and for the last 6 years I have been studying about its history, culture and traditions. In 2015 I obtained the tourist guide card from the Junta de Andalucía, which accredits me as a guide. Since 2018 I have been working as a guide so I have some experience. Now I want to show it to the tourist with Guruwalk so that outsiders can enjoy it and learn more about it.

Tour description

Walk through the most emblematic and well-known neighborhoods of the city , located on a hill facing the spectacular Alhambra and with wonderful views of it. The Albaicín , the first neighborhood we visit, is a place of great interest, since it was the space where the city of Granada was born, being a hostel for Iberians, Romans, Visogoths, Muslims and Christians who came from Castile, that is, about 2700 years ago it was already populated. The influence of all these cultures can be seen in the streets and corners of the neighborhood.
The other neighborhood that this tour visits, the Sacromonte , is the gypsy neighborhood of the city , a neighborhood populated by this ethnic group since the arrival of the Christians in Granada in 1492. It is a place where a large part of the houses are caves and It is one of the places where flamenco was born , so it is of great interest.

Explore the narrow and convoluted alleys, the small white houses that overlook the Nasrid palaces and feel the spirit of these neighborhoods full of movement and music , of churches and cisterns, of caves and carmens, of Christian palaces and Muslim houses.
In short, one of the best places that the traveler can visit in the city.
The Albaicín and the Sacromonte!
