Amazing Venice
Tour description
On this tour, we'll discover the highlights of the so-called Pearl of the Adriatic, the most photographed city in the world.
We're going to learn everything you need to plan your visit, from its history to practical details like transportation, where to eat, tips for saving money and getting more out of it, etc.
We are located at the entrance to the Galleria dell'Accademia next to the Accademia vaporetto stop.
We'll enjoy Venice's Grand Canal and the palaces on its banks, highlighting the wonderful dome of the Basilica of Santa Maria della Salute.
We will walk through the Baroque church of Santa Maria del Giglio and see its beautiful and unique façade.
And of course St. Mark's Square, perhaps the most famous square in the world, and the Rialto Bridge seen from a perspective on the Grand Canal.
This tour is an introduction to a first-time visitor to Venice and is complementary to all of our other tours, so if you have more time, you can take them all, learning something different on each one.
Groups
This is a free-price tour based on donations. A donation to the guide is expected at the end of the tour.
Sadly, we must remember this because some people take advantage. Be a responsible traveler and enjoy the opportunity to enjoy a self-guided tour that's much more advantageous for the walker.
Please make a donation if you take the tour; it's the only way we can keep doing it.
The tour is donation-based only for groups of fewer than 6 people. If you are a group of more than 6 people, even if you come with separate reservations, the minimum payment is 10 euros per person.
In a city like Venice, where a coffee costs 5 euros, it's still a bargain.
Thank you very much and welcome
The Wonderful Venice team
