Essential Free walking tours of Venice

I have taken guru walk tours all over the world, and this one is, by far, the best I've ever been on. Francesco took us on the back streets of Venice and it felt surreal. Quiet, peaceful, educational. An absolute delight! I could have spent three more hours. Grazie!!

I have done many tours all around the world — in Europe, Asia, America and I can honestly say that I have never met a guide like Francesco. What we experienced today was not just a tour. It was storytelling at its highest level. Francesco took us through the less touristy side of Venice, including the Jewish Ghetto and hidden corners of the city that most visitors would never discover on their own. But what truly made the experience extraordinary was not only the places, it was him. His charisma is simply on another level. The way he expresses himself, the passion in his voice, the way he builds suspense, the way he keeps you fully engaged from beginning to end… it’s something you cannot fake. You don’t just listen to him, you feel the history through him. He has that rare ability to make every single person feel connected, involved, and genuinely interested. Not for a second does your attention drift. You’re completely there, completely immersed. Beyond his incredible knowledge and talent as a storyteller, he is an amazing human being, warm, kind, humble, and close to people. You can feel that he truly cares about what he does and about the people he’s guiding. If every destination in the world had a guide even half as good as Francesco, traveling would be an even more magical experience than it already is. Francesco, thank you for making Venice unforgettable. You are not just a guide, you are exceptional.

Lucia ist sehr interaktiv und hat mich schon im Vorfeld kontaktiert und nochmals die Daten gegeben wo wir uns treffen. Die gestrige Tour bei jemandem anderen habe ich z.B. nicht gefunden, worüber ich sehr enttäuscht war. Doch Lucia denkt da mit und hilft. Die Tour war unterhaltsam, kurzweilig und informativ, von Geschichte bis unterhaltsam. Sie hat uns immer wieder mit einbezogen. Das war super. Der Essenstipp war sensationell. Danke

Tour was amazing. Didn't even feel like 3 hours. It was so entertaining. It made my trip to Venice worth it.

We really enjoyed the tour with Annachiara! We did it on our second day in Venice and we were pleased that we were taken to places we hadn’t seen and that were less touristic. She sent us a PDF with very good information and recommendations. We tried one of the restaurants afterwards and it was good!

The tour was interesting and Fransisco showed us places one usually has no chance to go to. He makes a great effort to make it fun and interactive. The tour lasted 3 hours with a 1/2 break. It was really good, maybe a bit too long but still fun and worth my time.

Annachiari was an excellent guide - both extremely knowledgeable and fun. She took us to spots we’d never have got to ourselves. So I would certainly recommend to others.

Great guy and tour. I think it’s a must if you’re visiting Venezia. He’ll show you a route with places and info that are totally different and alternative. 100% recommend.

Francesco is clearly knowledgeable and passionate about Venezia and its history. The Illuminati church and the Ghetto visit are certainly two highlights. Don't hesitate booking. Long walk but well worth the effort! (he includes a 30-min coffee break)

Die Stadtführung mit Francesco war sehr wissenswert und interessant. Er zeigte uns Orte und Sehenswürdigkeiten, die vor Touristen versteckt sind, gab uns Einblicke in die Geschichte, die sogar für unsere Teenager interessant waren. Jetzt sehen wir Venedig mit anderen Augen und bemerken vieles, an dem wir früher vorbeigegangen wären. Danke, Francesco!

Very fun and fascinating tour. Francesco is a local very experienced guide and took us all around the city for almost 3 hours. The stories and explanations about a variety of subjects were interesting and we learned a lot. Recommended!
