Ben's St John's co-Cathedral Tour
Tour description
St John's co-Cathedral was the conventual church of the Knights of St John.
It was the sacred temple of an elitist, religious, military Order, that prided itself as being the holy protector of the Christianity in the Mediterranean.
Originally the temple was humble, but over time, the knights discovered Baroque - and set about creating one of the best examples of Roman Baroque in the world.
Please join me as I show you around, what I consider to be, the "jewel" of Malta.
I will take you around as many side chapels as I can, while pointing out the opulent Baroque monuments of the Grand Masters, together with the giant fresco dedicated to the life of St John the Baptist, as well as the Caravaggio masterpieces that lie in St John's.
In my humble opinion, St John's is a "must see" in Malta. It's our very best, most opulent, most splendid, church. And in Malta, we take our churches seriously ;)
Please note that entrance tickets are NOT PAID FOR. And will have to be paid by you. The cost is €15 per person. This might sound steep, but it's 100% worth it. I've never met anyone who said it wasn't worth it :)
