Hello! My name is Manuel and I will be your guide during this tour. In the last 10 years I have traveled a lot for work or study and I have used freetours as a way to understand a little more about the culture and customs of the area with the help of a local guide there. Now I think I can contribute my grain of sand, and since I like talking and history I think I offer the perfect combination for it. I'll wait for you!
Free tour Canterbury is a guided tour of one and a half hours covering the old town and main tourist sites of the city of Canterbury.
We will start in Buttermarket Square (in front of the cathedral), from where we will head towards St Augustine's Abbey and finally St. Martin's Church, the place from which Christianity began in England.
After this visit, we will return inside the city walls along St. Peter street, and we will tour this main artery of the city showing the different cultural sites, until we reach Westgate tower.
Finally we will end up at Westgate Garden, next to Tower House, to end our free tour.
I'll be in Buttermarket Square next to The Canterbury War Memorial with a black and white umbrella.
Free tours do not have a set price, instead, each person gives the guru at the end of the tour the amount that he or she considers appropriate (these usually range from €10 to $50 depending on satisfaction with the tour).
