Discover Lithuanian Christmas traditions on a walking tour of Vilnius. Explore the Old Town, hear stories about the Christmas tree, and learn about customs.
Begin your tour at Cathedral Square, where you’ll hear stories about the Vilnius Christmas tree. Then, head to Šventaragis Valley to hear stories and learn where the name “Kūčios” (Christmas Eve) comes from.
While enjoying the narrow streets of the Old Town, talk about traditional dishes and where you can taste them. Later, visit a secret statue of a pagan goddess and learn how Christmas is celebrated nowadays and what Lithuanians do during the dark winter season.
Finish your tour at Town Hall Square. At the end of the tour, receive a guide with recommendations on what festive foods to try and which markets and events are worth visiting.
