Mary was a fantastic tour guide—she shared lots of fun facts and kept us laughing throughout the tour. It was a really interesting experience, and I especially loved the Grand Central Library part, it was my favorite section. She pointed out details I definitely would have missed on my own, like the statues and their meanings.

If I had to recommend just one walking tour in New York, this SoHo, Chinatown, and Little Italy tour with John Barr would be it. He brings incredible energy and truly captures the spirit of New York. His storytelling is so engaging that it feels more like watching a live performance, he’s not just a guide, he’s a natural entertainer. The tour was fascinating from start to finish, full of stories and hidden details you wouldn’t notice on your own. We actually wished we had more time to join his 9/11 tour as well, because I’m sure it would be just as meaningful and insightful. Even though we had just arrived that morning and were pretty tired, we still had an amazing time. As a bonus, he even added a small Chinatown food experience at the end, which made everything even more memorable. We genuinely loved it—this is a must-do experience in New York.

As someone who enjoys a dark tale or two this walking tour was right up my alley. It was a great way to learn about the Florence's history and some it's key players. Alfonso was truly an amazing guide who with his enthousiasm really brought these stories to life. Definitely highly recommended!
