I was in Nagasaki for just one day and wanted to join a tour which focus on history and I joined the right one. The guide gave a historical background of the WWII and Nagasaki, why and how it was bombed, the impact of the bombing and the reconstruction of the city. He shared many testimonies and stories of the survival which add more insights to understand the difficult but very important part of the history.

The walk concentrated around the Nagasaki Peace Park where the guide talked about the 1946 bombing and its aftermath. He did speak of some of the ways life had returned to the town and some of the cultural aspects of being Japanese.

I took the tour cause I wanted to hear and learn in deeply about Nagasaki's history; the guide provided deep context about it, explaining the events of the atomic bomb with real nuance, helping me understand not just what happened, but why it matters today.

Maddy was well researched and able to give a good tour. Although from Pakistan he is obviously passionate about history and pulled all the information together really well. He also spoke English very well so he was easy to understand.
